6-Meter Repeater Fundraiser

The Nixa Amateur Radio Club, with support from local Emergency Management, is installing state of the art early warning communication equipment to give you extra time when severe weather and disasters happen.

Currently there are some holes in emergency communications. For example, there is a "ham radio communications gap" between McDonald County and Northwest Arkansas to the National Weather Service. With the equipment that we are working to install, we would be able to bridge this gap and fill other voids by providing essential on-site visual tracking and reporting of tornados
...THE best way for alerting the public.
